With a generous 42 x 60” scan area and 10” clearance, your original items safely pass through on the advanced table conveyance system. Precision-engineered with laser-controlled focus and height adjustment, your item moves under the advanced scanning system contact-free.

With the risk of damage or unnecessary stress removed, scan more than you thought possible. It’s ideal for artwork, artefacts, posters, textiles, documents and more. With scanning from just 6” per second, enjoy excellent productivity.

The beauty of CCD

At the heart of the HD Aperion/42 is superior image quality. With 6 x Toshiba-based CCD sensors combined with Fujifilm lenses, enjoy image quality to the highest standard with stunning 1200 dpi optical resolution.

The quad linear CCD design of red, green, blue, and grey provides brilliant colour reproduction and enjoy the truest greyscale/monochrome tones possible. This is compared to the tri-linear designs of rivals that only use red, green, and blue with greyscale/mono being created out of the green channel only.

Want more? It meets the highest FADGI star rating of 4 and offers the highest possible score for colour rendering indexing (CRI) of above 98. CRI is a test of creating digital colours that look as natural and faithful to the original as possible. There’s also its ICC profiles powered by X-Rite® for professional colour management and matching.

Natural effect LEDs

The right lighting is essential for scanning and the HD Aperion/42 goes above and beyond to deliver the very best setup for perfect results.

Featuring LEDs with TRI-RTM technology, they recreate the natural daylight spectrum to ensure your digital image looks as faithful to the original as possible. Mounted in elliptical reflectors, they ensure perfect lighting uniformity with no shadows.

Adjustable in 4 positions, they are also museum-correct with no UV/IR radiation. Being LED based, they also offer excellent longevity with no warm-up required.

Add 3D texture and detail

The multiple lamp positions of Contex HD Apeiron/42 paired with Nextimage Apeiron software give you the option to emphasize even the finest details and textures in your scanned image like never before.

Easy to apply, simply slide between -100 and +100 to match your original or maybe give a new perspective as new details are brought to life. View your changes in real-time and with no need to rescan to apply any changes you make.

Effects above 0 can mimic for example the hanging of the item on the wall and lit from above so you can present your digital image just like it would appear in a gallery or exhibition.

Enjoy the proven and powerful scanning features of Nextimage with a version designed especially for HD Apeiron/42 and included as standard.

Optimised to work with the included 22” arm-mounted touchscreen display, be in complete control with easy-to-use icons and menus that put you in full control. Designed for large format documents, enjoy tools, filters, and automated processes also designed to aid workflow and productivity.

Choose from built-in presets or create your own to enable fuss-free scanning in just 3 easy steps. Simply choose your required preset, load your original and press scan. With help and guidance on positioning and setup, the HD Apeiron/42 is as easy to use as other Contex products.
