190gsm Instant Dry Photo Paper in Satin and Gloss Now Available in 60m Rolls, and Now FSC Mixed Certified
Two updates to our 190gsm instant dry photo paper range are worth
knowing about, whether you run a busy print shop, manage display production, or
need consistent, high-volume output for exhibition work.
The paper is now available in 60m rolls across both the satin and gloss
finishes, and both are now FSC Mixed Certified. For anyone going through paper
quickly or looking to reduce change-over time on the printer, the 60m roll
length is a meaningful practical improvement. For those whose clients
increasingly ask about material sourcing, the FSC certification gives you
something concrete to point to.
Why 60m
rolls make a difference for high-output operations
A standard 30m roll on a busy wide-format printer can run out mid-job
or require a roll change at an inconvenient point in a print run. The 60m roll
reduces how often that happens, keeping the printer running for longer between
interruptions.
For print shops, copy shops, display printers, and art galleries
producing high volumes of posters, exhibition panels, or point of sale
graphics, the difference between 30m and 60m adds up over a week's output.
Fewer roll changes means less downtime and less time handling materials, which
is particularly useful when deadlines are tight.
The 60m rolls are on a 3" core, so it is worth checking that your
printer can accommodate the roll diameter before ordering. The roll diameter on
a full 60m roll is 135mm.
Satin or
gloss: which finish suits your output
Both finishes use a microporous instant-dry coating on a high-opacity
PE-coated base, giving bright white output with high colour density and sharp
image definition. The choice between them comes down to the application and the
viewing conditions.
Satin gives a low-sheen finish that reduces glare without losing colour
vibrancy. It is often preferred for exhibition graphics, art reproductions, and
any display that will be viewed at close range or in bright lighting
conditions. The satin finish also tends to show fingerprints less readily,
which is useful for pieces that are handled or displayed without glazing.
Gloss gives a higher-sheen finish with strong colour contrast and
saturation. It suits photographic prints, retail point of sale, and vivid
poster work where maximum impact is the priority. In controlled lighting
conditions, gloss can produce more striking results; in brighter or more varied
ambient light, the glare can be a consideration.
For short-term outdoor use, both finishes can be used when laminated.
Cold or warm lamination is recommended for the best results, rather than hot
lamination, which is not compatible with this paper.
Compatible
with Canon, HP and Epson wide-format printers
Both papers work with dye and pigment inks across the main wide-format
printer brands, including Canon, HP and Epson. For best results, using the
appropriate colour profile for your specific printer and ink combination is
recommended. Canon media profiles include optimised ink and printer settings
for Canon-supported printers and are available through the Canon media guide.
The paper should be allowed to adapt to room conditions for 24 hours
before printing, and the printable side is the outer side of the roll. Best
print results are at 23 degrees Celsius and 50 percent relative humidity;
higher humidity will extend drying time.
FSC
Mixed Certification
Both the satin and gloss versions of this paper now carry FSC Mixed
Certification (FSC C008945), confirming that the paper is produced from a mix
of materials from FSC-certified forests, recycled material, or controlled wood
sources.
For print businesses working with clients in sectors where
environmental credentials matter, such as retail, exhibition, or corporate
communications, having an FSC-certified paper option at this weight and quality
level is a straightforward way to meet those requirements without compromising
on output quality.
Available
widths
The 60m rolls are available in three widths: 610mm (24"), 914mm
(36"), and 1067mm (42"). All 60m rolls are on a 3" core.
