The guide will help you decide what & which type of inkjet printer you will need for your business now and in the future.
 
Simple questions to help you make a decision.


What size do you need to print? A2, A1 or larger?
Are you printing CAD drawings, maps, Presentations or photo quality images?
If printing photos/Graphics – Do you need to match Pantone colours?
How many prints do I produce a week/month? Do I need a low or high volume machine.
Are the volumes going to increase as my business grows.
How many people in the office need to print?
Do I need to print PDfs and colour files. Should I consider a Postscript Printer
Do I need a printer on a stand or will a desktop printer save space.
Is it important the prints are delivered from the printer stacked?
Are the prints for outdoor use – do they need to be waterproof?
If I send large files, should I consider a printer with an internal hard Drive?
What type of paper and media will I be using – CAD Papers – Graphics Media.
Do I need to scan and Copy documents?

Also to consider before you buy…….
Check the software you are using is compatible the intended printer.
Is the space large enough to fit the printer – Loading paper and removing drawings
Will the printer fit through the door and if upstairs, fit in the lift or easily carried up the stairs.
 Consider paying the extra to have the printer professionally delivered set-up and installed.
Can I trade-in my old machine.
Should I purchase outright or lease
If the printer becomes obsolete will I be able to get spare parts.
Should I purchase additional warranty to give peace of mind.
Buying cheap may not always be the best option. Buying from an HP Designjet Specialist who will answer all my questions and offer ongoing support and advice will save time and money.
