Photo realistic paper rolls for your inkjet, latex and solvent printer

Posted by Louise 16/05/2019 0 Comment(s) Prizma,

When you are on the lookout for photo paper rolls that you can depend on to deliver superb results from your inkjet, latex or solvent printer, there’s only one place you need to look: Prizma Graphics.

Indeed, whether you’re seeking out paper with a matte, satin or gloss finish, we have your requirements covered.

Make sure you have the appropriate solution for your inkjet printer

When you are looking to purchase photo paper rolls from Prizma Graphics, it is not merely your intended application that you will need to have in mind, but also the requirements of your given printer, in recognition of the fact that different machines use different inks and printing processes.

Different inkjet papers with the appropriate coating for each process are therefore required to ensure compatibility with the inks. Here at Prizma Graphics, we supply photo papers for each of these processes.

The inks used in inkjet printers, for example, are aqueous (water-based) dye and pigment inks. Pigment inks are water-resistant, and are an excellent choice for art and photo-quality prints.

We offer photo paper rolls with various finishes under our own brand for inkjet printers, such as satin plotter paper with a microporous coating for fast drying and dimensional stability, and a minimal reflective finish for sharp, brilliant photo images characterised by fantastic colour contrast.

However, we can also offer inkjet printer users our non-reflective matt photo paper with a stabilised ‘no-curl’ reverse side, and photo gloss instant dry paper with water and smudge resistant qualities. This glossy inkjet plotter paper is well-suited to the printing of maps, photos, posters, charts and Point of Sale displays, as well as hot and cold lamination.

We offer acclaimed photo paper rolls for latex and solvent printers, too

If you are seeking photo paper for use in a latex printer, however, you can be assured that we have paper rolls compatible with such printers and inks.

Like the pigment inks used in inkjet printers, the inks used in latex printers are water-based liquid inks. They differ, though, in that they also contain latex polymers that encapsulate the pigment carried in water and jetted through the printheads. Latex printers heat the water so that it evaporates, which activates the polymers to enable the ink to bind to the media.

Once the heat is applied, latex inks are waterproof and waterfast, which helps to make them ideal for both indoor and outdoor applications. We offer latex photo paper rolls with satin finishes in 140gsm and 200gsm weights, and a high gloss finish in 225gsm, all of which are great choices for poster work.

Finally, if your machine is an eco solvent printer, this means it uses inks that are suspended in a mild biodegradable solvent with no odour. Given that the term solvent ink simply refers to any ink not made with a water base, such inks can be depended on to be both waterfast and durable, which makes them ideal for outdoor banners and signs.

If, then, it is solvent photo paper rolls that you are seeking, our extensive range including satin, satin matt, semi-gloss and high gloss options in 150gsm, 200gsm and 225gsm weights will please you. In common with the rest of the papers we have mentioned in this blog post, these solvent papers are all offered under our own brand. You may choose them for both indoor and outdoor poster and display work.
