Readers of the Prizma Graphics blog who have owned and/or used Canon’s highly successful TX-3100 and/or TX-4100 printers will already know something about what the Japanese corporation’s newly launched imagePROGRAF TX-3200 and TX-4200 machines promise to offer.

These latest wide-format printers from Canon are built upon the aforementioned devices’ technology. They are aimed at such potential purchasers as sizeable corporates, governments, and print service providers.

To customers like the above, these machines offer such advantages as formidable productivity, the utmost ease of use, professional image quality, and a high level of security.

There are so many excellent reasons to consider one of these wide-format printers

Whether you decide to invest in the 36” TX-3200 or the 44” TX-4200, you can expect to benefit from a highly sophisticated and sustainable device.

It is difficult to know where to start in any discussion of these five-colour wide-format printers, which have been engineered to deliver the utmost productivity in high-volume print environments.

We could, of course, refer to the remarkably high-speed printing that both machines make possible, recording a 3.3ppm speed for A1 prints. Indeed, the increase in print speed compared to previous models has been achieved without any loss of quality. In fact, the print quality is better than ever before.

Both these wide-format printers can create a more vivid red in their production of CAD documents and posters, thanks to the new magenta TD ink. The other pigment inks that these devices draw upon are matt black, black, cyan, and yellow. Users can also pick between various sizes of ink tanks – 700ml, 330ml, or 160ml – to support their daily printing demand.

These machines’ fully automated media loading is also much faster than was the case for past incarnations, and their power consumption is at its lowest ever level, too.

You can be enjoying a pleasant printing experience ‘straight out of the box’

The inclusion of 970ml of free ink with the TX-3200 – which rises to 1650ml in the case of the TX-4200 – means that purchasers of either device can produce stacks of free prints immediately.

Nor have we even yet touched on the top-level security features packed into these wide-format printers, encompassing encrypted communications, PIN code printing, and hard drive erasure.

Full cardboard packaging has also been implemented for these new Canon printer models, which has enabled both of them to be awarded the EPEAT Gold standard. This is a magnificent achievement, given EPEAT’s status as the premier global ecolabel for electronics and technology products.

In summary, then, you can count on the Canon TX-3200 or TX-4200 saving your organisation more time, energy, and money than wide-format printers have ever done in the past. From the perspective of your company’s sustainability commitments, it is a great finishing touch that these devices are also packaged in fully recyclable material, with no nasty polystyrene.
