The ease of operation, efficiency and flexibility of the HP DesignJet T650

Posted by Louise 20/10/2020 0 Comment(s) Prizma,HP,

Recently, we wrote about the HP DesignJet T630, and its credentials as a straightforward-to-use plotter printer that help to make it a perfect match to our present tumultuous and uncertain times. Well, many of the same benefits – and more – can also be enjoyed by users of the T630’s sister in the T600 series of HP DesignJet printers, the T650.

You could hardly choose a more stress-free plotter printer

In an era in which we can scarcely be sure what some of our workplace operations will look like in another month or two’s time – never mind two, three or five years ahead – the HP DesignJet T650 rises to the occasion, whether you select the 24” or 36” model.

Like the T630, it is one of the easiest-to-use large-format printers on the market today, with the ability to print multi-size A3 and A1 or A0 projects automatically, without any need for the user to manually switch the media source. This time-saving feature alone makes the T650 worthy of consideration for designers, whether that be in the world of architecture, product and graphic design or landscape and interior design.

Actually submitting a print job could hardly be quicker or more straightforward, either – it’s simply a case of sending multiple files with one click via the HP Click software.

The T650 can handle media of as much as 280gsm in weight, and uses four ink types; the dye-based cyan, magenta and yellow, and the pigment-based black. Use HP Bright Office Inks with this printer, and there will be no need for you to choose between meeting tight deadlines and achieving genuinely high-quality results, thanks to the bright and finely distinguishable colours produced.

Speaking of deadlines and all-round productivity, the T650 in its 24” variant offers an A1 print speed of up to 26 seconds, reduced further to 25 seconds in the case of the 36” model. That makes the T650 even brisker at its job than the already-impressive T630 we covered in our previous news update.

Like the T630, the T650 comes with a printer stand and automatic sheet feeder in the box – but unlike that model, it is accompanied by a roll cover as standard, this being a mere optional extra with the T630.

A formidable, but sensibly priced plotter printer for these strange times

HP DesignJet printers have always been a byword for quality, productivity and dependability, but also innovation. Sure enough, the T650 doesn’t disappoint in this regard, despite having been conceived for more space-restricted and cost-conscious buyers.

It is certainly a printer that lives up to the expectations and requirements of today’s environmentally and socially aware organisations and stakeholders, being made from up to 30% recycled plastic. The operation options presented for this machine also reflect the increasingly mobile and flexible nature of working practices in the COVID-19 age, the HP Smart App making it possible for print jobs to be ordered from virtually anywhere via a smartphone or tablet.

From the start to finish of your use of the T650, your organisation will be benefitting from speed, convenience and cost-effectiveness at a time when these are greater priorities than they have arguably ever been for firms up and down the country.

The 1GB in memory and one-year limited hardware warranty simply add further to the T650’s considerable appeal in this ever-shifting and unpredictable era for business.
