Canon M40 MFP Solution is a single footprint scan-file-print-copy device which is available is flexible range of combinations to suit all print requirements.

The 40 inch M40 Colortrac single sensor colour scanner can be combined with any printer in the imagePROGRAF range to allow customers to choose the printer type which best suits their applications. You really do get the best of both worlds - a true single footprint networked MFP with Scan to Copy capability, as well as individual printer and scanner. This is the only device which will allow one user to scan whilst another user prints at the same time. The scanner and printer can also easily be moved away from each other to perform their own tasks within your business. The separate stands can either sit together or can be moved apart with ease on the multiway wheels.

The scanner can handle originals up to 3mm thick making it ideal for the high speed scanning of technical documents, maps, plans, posters and charts. The user can choose to scan to file in a number of formats such as PDF, JPEG and TIFF, as well as scan to copy or email.

This device offers the ability to print whilst scanning and vice versa - a great feature for very busy workflows. If one user wants to scan straight to a print then it's a single button on the large touchscreen - COPY. The scanner will feed and scan your document and your copy will then be printed straight away.

A large size 22 inch touchscreen comes with this M40 MFP Solution offers large, simple to understand controls which make using this device a really easy. The touchscreen which can be mounted in a number of formats/heights to the side of the tall stand. The SmartWorks software which comes with the device can be accessed via this touchscreen allowing quick and easy previewing and editing of the scanned documents. A dedicated PC is required to run the SmartWorks software - the tower can sit in the handy basket at the back of the printer linked to the Touchscreen via USB cable. If preferred the 22 inch Touchscreen can be swapped for a 22 inch Flatscreen Touchscreen PC mounted in the same way to the side of the stand to run the SmartWorks software and preview the scans.

Software upgrade, extended warranties, service plans, consumables packages and lease deals are all available with purchase.

SUPER-EFFICIENT SCANNING AND FILE HANDLING

Because speed is critical when deadlines are tight, the imagePROGRAF MFP scans at up to 13 inches/sec, the SingleSensor (CIS) scanning technology has incredible line definition and accuracy, and scans documents up to 42" wide (40" image width), the imagePROGRAF MFP is a versatile imaging solution with the ability to scan and save to PDF, JPEG and TIFF file formats, and share files via Cloud services using Google Cloud.*

ECONOMICAL AND EFFICIENT

A built in accounting function allows accurate tracking of the cost per print enabling you to view the data through the printer driver. Economy mode can be selected which uses less ink, ideal when printing draft documents. Canon's optional eMaintenance software automatically detects and manages mechanical problems and low ink levels linking directly to Canon service.

EXCEPTIONAL QUALITY & ACCURACY

SingleSensor (CIS) with bi-directional LED light system can produce exceptional scan quality with accurate, consistent colour and more control over details in the shadows and highlights. Also, Canon’s 5-colour dye-and-pigment ink system produces vivid colours and the sharpest, lines. With an accuracy of +/- 0.1% as well as a minimum line width of 0.02mm, precision is guaranteed. Images are rendered at 2,400 x 1,200 dpi for maximum impact from super-fine print heads using 15,360 nozzles.

BUILT FOR DEMANDING WORKFLOWS

The imagePROGRAF MFP Solution is compatible with HP-GL2 and HP-RTL, including the ability to set palette and pen settings for those demanding CAD workflows. As well as an Optimised Driver for AutoCAD, for Microsoft Office users there is a plug-in to print from Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Security has been increased with improved administrative functionality on the user interface. Unauthorised use of the printer and information leaks are minimised through restricted access and Supported by print log management in network environments.
